Abstract

PARTLY TRUE: When compared with the countries in the South Asian region, the fuel price of our country is still lower than that of the other countries in the region. Among the countries in this region, only Pakistan provides diesel at a price lower than Sri Lanka. It is only in Sri Lanka that petrol and diesel are still provided at a lower price relative to all the other countries in the region. - Ramesh Pathirana, Hansard, 20 July 2021
